Pedro is Sr. Joan Stoverink’s third grade student at St. John the Baptist. He was proud to have his poem selected for this newsletter and wanted to share with you a little bit about his life…
Hello, my name is Pedro. My family is from Mexico and we speak Spanish.
At home I like to play with my two Doberman- pinchers and their names are Maximus and Moses. At school I like to do physical activities such as running and playing dodgeball.
In ETP I learn how to speak and write in English. When I made my rainbow booklet I learned parts of speech such as adjectives and verbs. It was really fun to write it.

Rainbow colors, Rainbow colors, what do you see?
I see Pedro writing about me.
Purple grapes, Purple grapes, what do you see?
I see a blue ball bouncing toward me.
Blue ball, Blue ball, what do you see?
I see a green frog chasing me.
Green frog, Green frog, what do you see?
I see a yellow duck swooping at me.
Yellow duck, Yellow duck, what do you see?
I see an orange fruit squirting at me.
Orange fruit, Orange fruit, what do you see?
I see a red strawberry right next to me.
Red strawberry, Red strawberry, what do you see?
I see colorful things all around me.
